When a loved one passes, the decisions can come faster than the grief allows. Knowing the first few steps helps you move with a clearer mind. Our hotline answers at any hour, and once you call, our team takes over the arrangements.

If the passing is at home

Call a doctor or the family GP to certify the death and issue the Certificate of Cause of Death (CCOD). If no doctor is available, the case may be referred to the mortuary. Then call a funeral director, who will collect and prepare your loved one with care.

If the passing is at a hospital or hospice

The hospital will issue the Certificate of Cause of Death. You can then engage a funeral director to collect your loved one and begin the arrangements.

What to decide early

With the funeral director, you will decide a few things: the dialect customs to follow, the length of the wake, the venue (a void deck, parlour or home), and which Taoist priest will lead the prayers. Everything else, from the casket to the rites to the cremation, we then handle.

You do not need to know all the answers when you call. That is what we are here for. One call, any hour, and you will not face it alone.
